About La Tania
What La Tania is like
La Tania is the youngest resort in the massive Les Trois Vallées ski area, originally built to house athletes for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics. Nestled at 1,400 metres among beautiful spruce forests, it offers a more tranquil and budget-friendly alternative to its glamorous neighbour, Courchevel. The resort is famously fully pedestrianised, making it incredibly safe and appealing for families.

Over the last 20 winters (2006/07 to 2025/26), the top (3,230 m) had 30 cm or more of natural snow on nine days in ten or more from December to April. The village (1,400 m) is less certain: February was its best month, with 30 cm or more on 79% of days. For quieter slopes, go between 4 January and 5 February, or between 8 and 25 March, outside the UK and French school holidays.
