Nestled at the end of the beautiful Ayas Valley in the Aosta region, Champoluc is the largest and most vibrant base for exploring Italy's spectacular Monterosa Ski area. Unlike many mega-resorts, it has managed to retain the charm and character of a traditional, rustic Italian alpine village, complete with narrow streets, old wooden chalets, and a distinctly relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere. The resort is a haven for those who prioritize excellent skiing, incredible mountain dining, and stunning scenery over loud après-ski. As part of the three-valley Monterosa network, it offers seamless connections to Gressoney and Alagna. The area is heavily favored by intermediates who love its long, uncrowded red runs, as well as freeriders drawn to some of the most accessible and thrilling off-piste terrain in the Alps, all under the looming shadow of the Monte Rosa massif.
