Panorama Mountain Resort sits in the Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, around 18 kilometres from the town of Invermere and approximately three hours from Calgary International Airport. The Approach is positioned in the upper village — the elevated hub of the resort — which places it directly alongside the lift system and within easy walking distance of additional restaurants, bars, and resort facilities. This upper village location means minimal transfer time between accommodation and the slopes, a practical advantage over properties lower down the hill. Panorama itself offers over 120 runs across more than 2,800 acres of skiable terrain, with a vertical drop of 1,300 metres — one of the largest in Canada.

Pure Canada. Big mountain terrain with an intimate village feel and slopeside hot pools.
Panorama Mountain Resort, nestled in the spectacular Purcell Mountains of British Columbia, is renowned for its incredible 1,300-meter vertical drop—one of the largest in North America. Despite its massive terrain, the resort maintains an intimate, pedestrian-friendly village where almost everything is ski-in/ski-out. The atmosphere is exceptionally relaxed and welcoming, making it a favorite for both families and serious mountain enthusiasts. The skiing offers a fantastic dual personality: the lower half is packed with wide, perfectly groomed corduroy ideal for beginners and intermediates, while the upper mountain and the famous Taynton Bowl provide expansive, backcountry-style chutes and glades for experts. This former heli-ski terrain is entirely avalanche-controlled and patrolled, giving advanced skiers thousands of acres of deep powder to explore. Beyond the slopes, Panorama is famous for Canada's largest slopeside hot pools, where guests can soak their tired muscles while watching skiers carve down the final runs. With RK Heliski operating right out of the village base and a growing network of fat biking and Nordic trails, Panorama serves as a comprehensive hub for Canadian winter adventure.
Panorama's terrain progresses naturally as you climb higher, starting with gentle learning slopes near the village and evolving into long, fast intermediate cruisers off the Champagne Express. At the summit, the mountain transforms into an expert's playground, highlighted by the steep, deep, and untracked lines of the massive Taynton Bowl.
The Purcell Mountains run parallel to the Canadian Rockies, famous for their spectacular jagged peaks, deep interior snowfall, and expansive alpine bowls.
An enormous, avalanche-controlled area of former heli-ski terrain offering steep chutes, glades, and powder bowls.
Wide-open, fast groomed cruisers with a perfect fall-line that run all the way down to the base.
Classic old-school fall-line skiing with fantastic gladed tree runs and typically shorter lift lines.
A fully segregated, gentle learning area accessible from the village base with dedicated magic carpets.
A well-maintained progression park with features ranging from beginner boxes to large jumps.
