Perched high in the Ötztal Valley at 2,150 meters, Hochgurgl is a purpose-built, premium ski hamlet that shares a magnificent ski area with neighboring Obergurgl. Known as the 'Diamond of the Alps,' it boasts an enviable snow record, allowing for one of the longest non-glacier ski seasons in Europe. Characterized by luxury ski-in/ski-out hotels and a tranquil, exclusive atmosphere, Hochgurgl eschews loud nightlife in favor of refined dining and wellness. The resort is connected to Obergurgl by the Top Express gondola, creating a seamless 112km winter playground that caters heavily to convenience and comfort. The skiing is predominantly situated above the treeline, offering wide, perfectly groomed slopes that are a paradise for intermediates and progressing beginners.
